Guidelines for organising catering with complete safety

Due to constant changes in mandatory coronavirus safety regulations we advise you to first be well informed about these regulations. To this end, you should have preventative advice from a specialised company so as not to overlook any important safety detail and ensure that all documents and regulations are drawn up rigorously.

Use of gel and face masks

It is essential that guests have masks and hand sanitiser available during lunch or dinner. Should they need either of these, catering companies offer the service of hand sanitiser dispensers and face masks throughout the room.

Furthermore, you should know that, except at the time when food or drink is served, all attendees must wear their face masks.

Smaller tables and with distance

The new security protocols require that there are no more than 10 people at the tables, so attendees will need to be distributed across smaller tables. In addition, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres will have to be guaranteed between tables, although in most catering companies they try to ensure that distance is 2 metres.

The recommendation is that tables are shared only by people who live together or are from the same family. Children's tables should also be avoided, and efforts should be made to ensure they eat with their family members.

Individual-portion meals

The welcome cocktail is no longer what it used to be, and if you want to serve some kind of starter or welcome drink it has to be done following the guidelines of do not share objects and do not get up from the table.

To achieve this, the waiters will approach each guest and offer them a canapé served on individual disposable cutlery, along with drinks that are prepared and served at that very moment at each table.

Due to the new circumstances, for lunch there is nothing more appropriate than resorting to single menu, as it is the best way to minimise any risk of infection.

No all-you-can-drink alcohol is permitted

Whether it is a wedding or a corporate event, the open bar is one of the most anticipated moments after dinner or lunch. However, safety protocols only allow bartenders serve the drinks at the table itself. The dances will have to wait!
