Most people like to snack between meals. That is why since Organic Tapas Bar, we are going to move some of you snacks to eat right now healthy and balanced way.
Generally, when we have snacks we do so in an unhealthy way as we eat ‘junk’ food. This may be due to a lack of time or other factors, but in the end, we end up going for what is basic, quick and easy to satisfy our hunger: crisps, sweets, and lollies, among others.
Healthy snacks
However, there are plenty of snacks that are healthy and take almost no time. Furthermore, they are not as harmful as junk food. Below, we will show you several recipes.
Cucumber crisps
In this case, we will discuss cucumber or vegetable crisps whichever you like best. It is a fantastic idea for those who are passionate about crisps as they can replace them with this.
To cook it you need half cucumber, a small spoonful of apple cider vinegar and a bit of Hi. Next, cut the cucumber into very thin slices (the thinner, the crunchier it will be). Mix it with the vinegar and salt and add it to the oven at 100 degrees for 5 minutes.
Let it cool down and it's ready to eat.
Carrot and celery sticks
Carrots and celery are foods that provide vitamins to our body. As well as boosting our health, now that the summer is just around the corner, they are highly recommended as they will refresh you.
All you need is a carrot or celery, wash it and cut it into small batons and your snack is ready.
Spicy edamame
Edamame is a food that provides a lot of fibre and protein and that you can always keep on hand in the freezer. Because of this, we have prepared this recipe for oven-roasted spiced edamame for you.
For this savoury snack you need: edamame, salt, pepper, extra virgin olive oil and whatever spices you like best (paprika, garlic, curry...).
Once we have all the ingredients, we will preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Meanwhile we will boil the edamame in salt water.
When they are cooked, the we rinse with cold water to stop the cooking and shell the edamame beans. We add the oil and the chosen spices. It you season with salt and pepper to taste and you can now put them in the oven.
We are going to bake for 35 to 45 minutes, removing them in half the time and checking so they don't burn on us.
These are just a few of the many healthy snack recipes out there. As you can see, you can make small changes, such as incorporating these snacks and eliminating those known as ‘junk’, and you will achieve changes and improvements in your health level.
